Before you decide to purchase a Bedaway product, it is important to consider the following four aspects to ensure that it can be installed in your home:
1.Ceiling height:
Make sure your ceiling height is in the range of 2.38m to 3.25m to install Bedaway.
2. Fastening option:
Make sure you have a suitable way to attach to the ceiling (drill and screw) and wall close to floor or down in the floor. Concrete or a sturdy wooden beam is ideal in the ceiling. If you are unsure, please feel free to contact us or your craftsman.
3. Mattress:
Check the weight and size of your mattress. Please refer to the specifications in the catalog to ensure it is compatible with Bedaway. Bedaway also offers its own mattress that is specifically optimized for use with Bedaway.
4. Free Range of Motion:
Make sure Bedaway is not blocked in its movement by structural elements such as doors, windows or other objects and vice versa. This ensures smooth functioning and security. Considering these points before purchasing will ensure that you get the most out of your Bedaway bed system and that it integrates smoothly.

However, it should be noted that the wooden panels are bespoke to a specific bed width and ceiling height. If these dimensions differ to the new location, some of the panels will have to be remade.
The product needs to be installed by a professional.

A slight slope in the floor is not a problem for Bedaway. It is equipped with means that allows it to be matched to the slope of the floor as long as the slope is only a few centimeters, both directions.
However, if the slope is greater than 50mm we recommend to correct the floor prior to an install.
Yes, the appearance of the panels can be individually designed. We offer a variety of different coatings and materials to meet your individual design needs. High gloss paintwork, veneer and melamine. We are happy to help you discuss the available options and make the right selection for your needs.

When Bedaway is dismantled, a few drill holes are left behind: 6 in the ceiling and 4 on the wall near the floor (or in the floor). These drill holes are approximately 10 mm in diameter and can easily be plastered or sealed to make the surface smooth and aesthetically pleasing again.
